What We Collect About Children
When a parent or guardian creates an account in the App, we collect the following information about the parent’s child:
The child’s first name (used to personalize content within the App)
The child’s age or birthdate (used to show age-appropriate devotionals, activities, and library content)
We do not collect any other personal information directly from children. Children do not have their own accounts, do not log in independently, and cannot communicate with other users or post content publicly through our Services. Information about a child is visible only within the parent’s account.
Verifiable Parental Consent
In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information about a child under 13. We do this by requiring a valid credit or debit card to be provided during account creation and processed through Stripe. This method is consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s approved methods of obtaining verifiable parental consent.
How We Use a Child’s Information
We use a child’s first name and age only to:
Personalize content displayed within the parent’s account (for example, addressing the child by name in devotional prompts)
Show devotionals, activities, and library content that are appropriate for the child’s age
Track in-app achievements within the parent’s account
We do not use a child’s personal information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose unrelated to providing the Services. We do not disclose a child’s personal information to third parties except to the service providers described in Section 4, who are contractually limited to using it solely to operate the Services on our behalf.
